Study of the various musical styles, time feels and grooves. Develop fundamental techniques including grip, sticking, rhythmic studies, reading, independence, rudiments, linear style, musical forms and construction of solos.

SNARE DRUM TECHNIQUES
Study of snare drum techniques and reading. Develop fundamental techniques including grip, strokes, accents, rudiments and reading of constant odd meters, changing meters, polyrhythms and metric modulation.

THE BRAZILIAN RHYTHMS AND THEIR PERCUSSION INSTRUMENTS
Based on the method of Edgard Nunes Rocca (Bituca) this course deals with the study of several Brazilian rhythms through their percussion instruments. In it, are studied folkloric rhythms of Brazilian, such as Samba, Partido Alto, Baião, Capoeira, Candomblé, Côco, Maracatú, Maculelê, Marcha, Xaxado, Olodum; through their percussion instruments (Pandeiro, Caixa, Tarol, Atabaque, Agogô, Repinique, Tamborim, Cuíca, Chocalho, Berimbau, Zabumba, Bombo, Surdo, Ganzá, Afoxe, Reco-reco and Triângulo) always through the ensemble practice.

O BATUQUE CARIOCA
Workshop based on the method O Batuque Carioca, teaches how to play all the instruments from a samba school drums section.
Among other things are worked: rhythmic language, music notion music form, technique of all the instruments, ensemble practice and repertoire.

Classes start in March and go until Carnival!
